Privacy Policy

What we collect through this website, why we hold it, and how to have it removed. Last updated 1 October 2026.

Who we are

Ark Dev Solutions builds web platforms, custom software, mobile apps and automation. For anything in this policy, write to info@arkdevsolutions.com. We are the controller of the data described below.

What we collect, and only when you give it

We do not collect anything from you for simply reading this site. There are two ways data reaches us, and both start with you typing it in.

The contact form

When you send us a project enquiry we store your name, email address, and — if you choose to fill them — your company, the services you selected, your budget range and timeline, and your message. We also record the IP address and browser the submission came from.

The IP address and browser are stored for one reason: separating real enquiries from automated spam, and investigating abuse if the form is attacked. They are not used to build a profile of you, and they are not shared.

The newsletter

If you subscribe we store your email address, whether you have confirmed it, when you confirmed, which topics you chose, and — if you leave — when you unsubscribed.

Subscribing is double opt-in: we email you a confirmation link and send nothing else until you click it. An address that is entered but never confirmed receives one email and then nothing further.

Why we are allowed to hold it

  • Your enquiry: because you asked us to respond to it, and because we have a legitimate interest in running the business you contacted.
  • The newsletter: your consent, given by confirming the link. You can withdraw it at any time, and withdrawing is as easy as giving it.
  • Spam and abuse data: our legitimate interest in keeping the form usable.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries: for as long as the conversation is live, and then for up to two years, because a project discussed once is often revived. Ask us and we will delete yours sooner.
  • Subscribers: until you unsubscribe. After that we keep only your email address and the fact that you opted out — which is what stops you being added back by a later import.

Who else sees it

Nobody buys it, and we do not sell, rent or trade it. It is handled by the services that make the site work:

  • Our hosting provider, which runs the server holding the database.
  • Our email provider, which delivers the confirmation, notification and newsletter messages.

Our servers are located outside the European Economic Area. If you are writing to us from the EEA or the UK, that means your data is transferred internationally, and we rely on your explicit request to contact us as the basis for that transfer.

Cookies

This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to. If that changes, this section changes with it, and you will be asked before anything is set.

The admin panel at /admin does set a session cookie, but only for staff who sign in. It is not reachable from the public site.

What you can ask us to do

Write to info@arkdevsolutions.com and we will act on any of these within 30 days:

  • Tell you what we hold about you, and give you a copy.
  • Correct anything that is wrong.
  • Delete it.
  • Stop using it while a disagreement is resolved.
  • Stop sending you anything at all.

You do not need an account or a formal request to do this, and we will not ask you why. If you are in the EEA or UK you can also complain to your national data protection authority.

Leaving the newsletter

Every newsletter email carries an unsubscribe link in its footer, and most email apps show their own unsubscribe button beside our name. Either works in one click, with no confirmation step and nothing to log into. You can also change which topics you receive instead of leaving entirely.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, the database is not reachable from the internet, and access to the admin panel is limited to named accounts with defined roles. No system is perfect; if we ever discover a breach affecting your data we will tell you and the relevant authority.

Children

This is a business-to-business site and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top and, where the change affects mail you receive, say so in that mail.
